Cloisonné Enamelling Jewellery Workshop
琺瑯，又稱搪瓷，是指將玻璃粉末熔結在金屬表面或其他基質所製的工藝品，而掐絲琺瑯則是金屬胎琺琅工藝裡最常見的一類。金屬胎嵌琺琅，法語通稱Cloisonné，意為分割搪瓷釉料的矮牆。是指通過將細金屬絲彎曲成花紋再焊接或黏附於金屬胎上從而達到分割搪瓷釉料的效果。
參加者可以使用色彩豐富的琺瑯配合金屬絲線，勾勒出屬於你自己的圖案和色彩，創作出富有當代感的工藝首飾。
Cloisonne enamelling is one of the most recognised enamelling techniques. The history of this technique traces back to the Byzantine Age, and is believed to be the very first enamelling technique.
Cloisonne enamelling can be easily distinguished by the strands of metal inlaid onto the surface. The compartments outlined using metal creates isolated cells, which will then be furnished with powdered enamel. The level of detail associated with this technique is unparalleled by any other.
A Cloisonne enamelling workshop will be held at Obellery Studio. Participants could make use of metal strands and design their own pattern freely within a given round-shaped silver plate. Together with self-picked coloured enamel creating a piece of pendant or earring that is truly one-of-a-kind and unique to yourself.
