Pearl Lee

Pearl Lee is an emerging designer-maker with an unorthodox sense of beauty delivered through her work.

She seeks beauty in moments of destruction, considering it to be the most genuine response there is. Her collection consists of truly unique pieces; that is, despite the making process follows a recipe, each piece behaves differently along the working process, thus produces a dissimilar outcome. As the craftsman, she treats her materials with great respect and assume a secondary role enabling the material itself to react freely to her forming process.

MOLA MOLAR

Using the body as subject, this series found its inspiration in the maker’s intimate relationship with her dental braces. The transition from tool to companion is a journey of self-acceptance, and when she is finally relieved of the wires and brackets, a certain emptiness overcame her which in turn became her muse.

CRUSH

Implied by the name of the collection, this series flaunts a display of controlled chaos created via means of demolition. Pearl creates organic structures with an unorthodox approach.
