印章戒指的歷史悠久至公元3500年前，向來是象徵著貴族和皇室成員們的身份、社會地位、宗教角色、以及用作簽署文件的珍貴首飾。隨著時間的推移，這些戒指在設計上不斷發展，十九世紀加入寶石後變得更加精緻。許多人相信這些天然寶石具有治癒的功效，並可以保護佩戴者。現今，其豐富的歷史背景及中性的典雅輪廓，使印章戒指依然能屹立於當代首飾潮流圈。

Obellery現接受個別預約開辦有別於常規課程外的寶石印章戒指工作坊，参加者可動手製作屬於自己的印章戒指並在頂端鑲嵌一顆寶石，最適合喜愛手功藝的時尚達人，夥同一眾好友参加。

在是次工作坊你可以體驗到金工製作的基本技巧，如切割、退火、焊接、挫修、打磨、包邊寶石鑲嵌等等。「包邊鑲」是用金屬將平底半圓形的寶石包圍並固定在飾物上，是最傳統及最早用於鑲嵌貴重寶石的方法之一。想要挑戰自己手藝及多擁有一件收藏品的您切勿錯過！

Since 3500BC, signet rings have been esteemed heirlooms, especially among the nobility and royals. Over time, these rings evolved in design, becoming more intricate with the addition of precious gemstones during the nineteenth century. Many held the belief that these natural stones possessed healing qualities and could protect the wearer. Today, signet rings are available in diverse designs and forms. Along with its rich history and timeless aesthetics, it still remains as a popular piece of fashion accessory. 

Obellery will be holding gemstone signet ring workshops by appointment, allowing you to hand-craft your own signet ring and learning to set a precious piece of gemstone on top, making it a perfect workshop for the crafty fashionistas! 

During the workshop, you will learn basic silversmithing techniques such as piercing, filing, annealing, soldering, polishing and bezel setting. Bezel setting encloses and secures a cabochon cut gemstone with a continuous metal band. It is one of the most traditional and earliest settings for precious stones. If you are looking to challenge yourself and add an extra treasure to your jewellery collection, do not miss the chance to join us!

Class information 課程資料

  • Silver Signet ring $2600 / person 一人價錢 。

    Gemstones will be charged extra depending on the type ands size of it. Ranging from HKD 150 - 1800.

    寶石是要另加費用，我們會有一些不同的寶石給你選擇費用不等，取決於種類及大小，價錢由港幣150-1800不等。

    Please note that this is a more advanced workshop and will require more patience and effort.

    請注意本工作坊屬較進階難度，需求較多耐性及功夫。

  • 可以一人報名或是最多四人一班 / Maximum four people in one class

  • 一堂或可分兩堂完成，大約4-5小時 / 1 lesson or can divided for two lesson, approximately 4-5 hours

  • 工作坊可以英語丶粵語或普通話授教

    Can be taught in either Cantonese, English or Mandarin. We welcome both locals and visitors from abroad to get a taste of traditional gold and silver smithing.
