Plinth Pivot Ring -Smoky Quartz By Belinda Chang
Plinth is a series of wide silver rings, each conceived as a small sculpture for the hand. Polished surfaces meet stones and geometric forms — spheres, ellipses, cut gems — arranged as compositions on a pedestal.
The collection sits between architecture and still life: structural in its language, playful in its objects. Each ring is a study in how a few elements can be gathered, balanced, and worn.
A wide silver band cradles a domed smoky quartz cabochon, joined by a small silver ellipse that turns freely on its side. The turning element gives the ring a quiet variability — its composition shifts each time it is worn. The stone's soft grey-brown depth grounds the polished silver around it.
Made to be worn, and fidgeted with.
